Nate McMullen is a surrealist oil painter and sculptor based out of Pomona, California.  He paints landscapes and scenes that explore love, religion, and the range of human emotions. 

His sculptures are made of various metals and wood.  Nate first learned to work with metal as a child in his dad’s machine shop.  His dad Paul was a tool and dye maker and taught him the importance of patience, precision filling, and how to manipulate different alloys.  

Nate lives in a 2,000 square foot live work studio in Pomona where he has a shop that is filled with grinders, dremmels, a tig welder, and hand files.  He uses all of these tools and more to create his works of art that portray the movements of the human body and the complicated emotions we all experience.
